About the event
The EU-financed project "EUTEx - Developing a European framework for disengagement and reintegration of extremist offenders and radicalised individuals in prison, including returning foreign terrorist fighters and their families" develops a multi-agency and multidisciplinary course and training with evidence-based, effective practices, cooperation among stakeholders, a solid risk assessment and continuity of care from day one. The project builds on European knowledge, skills and products and takes them further by summoning the best expertise in relevant fields, through innovative methods and rolling them out Europe-wide.
This workshop in Berlin offers a unique opportunity for practitioners in the field
- to exchange on specific and already applied practices,
- share their needs in the actual work of reintegration and disengagement, and
- test the developed EUTEx course and training for disengagement and reintegration of extremist offenders and radicalised individuals.
Practioners will not only add their expertise to the EUTEx framework by sharing their personal expectations on a functioning framework to effectively reintegrate terrorist and extremist offenders back into society, but also their impressions on the presented EUTEx course and training themselves and their transferability into a specific (national) context. This will help to achieve a successful transformation of the innovative EUTEx framework Europe-wide and ensure maximum relevance to the field.
Travel-related costs (flight or train ticket, hotel accommodation and board) will be covered by the project.
If you prefer to participate virtually, please let us know at registration.
Participants will receive a personalised and signed certificate of participation after the workshop.
The number of participants is restricted, so please register as soon as possible (until 30 November 2022 at the latest).
EUTEx and this workshop is funded by the European Union's Internal Security Fund - Police.
